alpoma: Association of Producer Organizations

The Association of Producer Organizations (APO) alpoma is made up of the three producer organizations VOG, VIP and VOG Products. alpoma helps to achieve common goals for the development of South Tyrol’s fruit industry more efficiently – while maintaining the independence and identity of each producer organisation.

alpoma focuses on the areas of Variety Innovation & Coordination, Research & Development, and Environmental Measures. These areas are jointly addressed by the three producer organisations with greater impact. However, VOG, VIP and VOG Products remain independently responsible for marketing their products.

The APO alpoma is headquartered in the House of apples in Terlano. The name alpoma emphasizes the close connection between the region and product: “alp” stands for the Alps as the region of origin, and “poma” (Latin for apples) symbolizes the organisation’s main product.
